L2archive – Major content update to Goddess of Destruction

Yup it isn’t me that made a major update it’s my friend over at l2archive.com that had a huge update yesterday. First of when you visit the page you will notice that he made a new smashing design that really represent his page a lot better.

So what did he update you might ask, well first of he updated the skills just as me, but he also updated the pre-level 85 skills.

You will also find the new armor’s and the new weapons all updated to Goddess of Destruction with the new SA’s and all sort of stuff you want to know about the new items.

He wanted me to point out that he still have things to update and its all coming in the near future.. Not the NCsoft Soon™ but rather a real soon.

Better late than never?

Site have been finally updated to Goddess of Destruction age.

There probably still is some problems around, so trying to eliminate those when I hear or see about them.

Also site doesn’t have yet all the things I wanted it to have, so I will add them later as I tried to get the most important done for now.

Anti-SOPA blackout

At 00:00 GMT+1 on January 18th to 00:00 GMT+1 on January 19th , L2gc.com will join in the global protest against SOPA / PIPA l2gc.com will be shutdown for 24 hours.
My site may not be big and only has a 5000 visitors a day but I will join the SOPA blackout just like sites like Wikipedia.

The video above discusses the Senate version of the House’s Stop Online Piracy Act (SOPA). In the Senate the bill is called the PROTECT IP Act (PIPA). SOPA has gotten more attention than PIPA because it was moving faster in the legislative process. But PIPA is just as dangerous, and now it is moving faster.
PIPA would give the government new powers to block Americans’ access websites that corporations don’t like. The bill lets corporations and the US government censor entire websites and cut sites off from advertising, payments and donations.
This legislation will stifle free speech and innovation, and even threaten popular web services like Twitter, YouTube, and Facebook.
The bill is scheduled for a test vote in the Senate on Jan. 24th: We need to act now to let our lawmakers know just how terrible it is.

Readers Choice Awards 2011

First of I know I am a bit late with this but there is still time and the time has come for us to spread the word about Lineage 2 so that the year of 2012 can be the best year yet for Lineage2 both in Europe and in the US. Over at mmosite.com they are having there annual Readers Choice Awards 2011 and Lineage 2 is nominated for Most Classic MMO and Best PVP MMORPG.

It is most definitely one of the old mmo’s out there and still going strong, so with its 6+ years on the neck I think that Lineage 2 deserves to be with top games in the Most Classic MMO category. And with Screenshots like these we all knew that Lineage 2 was a game to stay.



Also the other category Best PVP MMORPG I think that Lineage 2 deserves to be the winner, I give you that I do think that the new PK system is out of balance and it needs rework, but I still think that Lineage 2 has always been on the about Drama and Clan wars. And that Lineage 2 has in plenty and don’t seem to be running out of it any time soon.

The voting has been going on for a while and Lineage 2 needs your help. So what are you waiting for head over to mmosite.com and vote for Lineage 2 and help your self by getting more people to kill.

NA: Euro time sieges for Bartz?

It may not be as far fetched as you may think, NCWest might not be saying it all out but this is what they are aiming for. Today NCWest announced that they will have a poll for all the Bartz players so that they can self decide what time the Sieges should be held. So if are a player that lives in a diffrent time zone then the US and have been waiting for a new NCwest server were you could join fresh and still enjoy more friendly Europe times , this might be your chance.

First you need to create and level a char at Bartz, you need to get it to level 20 and then head to this website and submit your very own vote for your preferred Castle siege times.

Christmas time is here so one might find it hard to get the time to log on and play but no worries you can do it after the newyear as well, but don’t wait to long the poll is held from December 22, 2011, to 7 p.m. PST on January 5, 2012.
So the sooner you do it the better.

EU: Second server Aria is open and Premium Account is now avalible

Hello all Lineage2 fans from Europe, if you were late to start on the Innova servers and have been waiting for the second one to start now is the time start playing. As they just opened a new EU server named Aria.

Innova has had a rough start I give you that, a lot of the expectation has been downsided by low quality support, but then Innova has proven good in other ways they still have a lot to prove as the new company for the Lineage 2 Europe Players.
One can say with out a doubt that the servers and the Innova service was launched before they were actually ready, and just now we can see the Premium account function be brought online.

There has been a lot of hard feeling’s about the newly announced Price for the Premium Account, the price landed roughly around 10 to 12 Euros depending on what kind of Subscription plan you sign up for. Many claim that this price is outrageous as the service that Innova currently provide don’t live up to the price tag.
And others just state that one don’t really have to be a Premium member to be able to enjoy Lineage2, and if you don’t like the price just don’t pay for it.

So currently there is a lot of ‘Doom and gloom’ around Innova, but even if there is many things to complain about I do suggest people to give it time as they have just started and even if I as I player can fell disappointed about the service, one have to keep in mind that sometimes things don’t go right, and as a company they should be able to correct those mistakes with in a timeframe that is reasonable.
What that timeframe is that is for you to decide.

So what do you think,

NA: Another new server and a Christmas event

Today NCWest will open yet another North American server, and with the new servers comes a old but familiar name. The new Server name is Bartz

The Bartz server is for new characters only. Server transfers to Bartz are not available.

Server timezone is CST (Dallas, Texas, USA). This is the same server timezone as the Chronos, Shilen, and Magmeld servers.

Character slots are limited to two per account until a later date.

The first Olympiad, Conquerable Clan Halls, Territory Wars and Castle Siege dates will be announced at a later date.

Bartz will also run the regular starting event they ran at Magmeld and Shilen.
so it sure seems that it is going well for NCWest and there relaunch of Lineage 2.

Other then that NCWest will also kick start a Christmas Event that will run from December 14, 2011 to January 4, 2012. on the North American Servers.
It sure seems that the Snow Man Grouch is trying to destroy christmas again and all you brave adventurers need to help Santas Girl to make Christmas to what it is.

EU launch day is here

We want this important moment of launching the Live Server for you to be a real celebration and that it would leave good impression afterwards. To make everything as we wanted we unfortunately need 2 more hours max. We hope that within these 2 hours max of waiting will be forgotten right after the second you start playing.

P.S. While we are working really hard here you can get ready for a long and interesting night which is ahead of you. Go fetch yourselves a drink, watch a movie, take a nap or call your best friend for a chat.

Anytime now the first EU server named ‘Core’ will open up and EU people will be able to enjoy Lineage 2 for Free, the launch time is 17 GMT+0 so it is roughly 20 minutes from when I make this post. But let’s all keep in mind that things don’t have to be on time.

Atm you can not download the client or create a account, but as soon as the downtime is live the EU page should be update. Please keep in mind that you should have an eye out on this page https://eu.4game.com/lineage2 and not lineage2.eu for launch info.
There has been some info from Fahrenheit on the Forums on how the launch will be handled and how the first week will work out.

Fellows,

It is time to put all doubts aside. Let somebody else do the laundry. Text your friends you will be staying in today. Close windows, lock the doors and let the magic happen right in front of you on your PC, in Lineage 2 where the new World is there to embrace you!
Here are some things you should know:

First of all, and the most terrible one – we will let you into the game in groups of 500 players at a time. No kidding, no VIP-s just random lucky guys. Then we will add 500 more and so on and so forth. Players will be granted access every 10 minutes or so. More and more happy faces will appear online depending on the availability of the location.
When you have to moan over dead bodies (sad yet necessary) we will help you so you will have enough dead bodies available – fresh and there to greet you! Emmm, yaiks?..
Somewhere I have already written that at the first location you will have to go through small instant zone. There is a maximum of 80 of those possible to be opened in the game – and that is all. Not more, not less! We cannot help this, so the first to enter are the first to grab the chance!
In all zones there will be Game Masters creating as many NPCs as needed for you to enjoy battles.
If something goes wrong (for it might) feel free to PM any of our friendly-looking and all-mighty GMs. You can send them your SOS by writing /gmlist in the chat window. Choose any whose nickname you find and drop them a line – they would love to help!

Second is what they call the ’1 Week challenge’

This is something that will change the whole world of Lineage for a week.

Ladies and gentlemen, orcs and elves, mages and warriors, we are delighted to announce….

Yes, you heard me right – no PA or shops on the first week of Lineage 2 Europe. It’s just you and your skills for the first week. SNEAKPEAK – Tauti GoD Chapter 2

New and Rewamped Hunting Grounds

In Tauti one of the key features will be new and rewamped Hunting Grounds, this will include a 4th Seed In Gracia called the ‘Seed of industrialization’, The concept for the ‘Seed of industrialization’ will be a machine city with mechanical Rooms, They say you shall be able to hunt in various

ways in this seed to accommodate as many people as possible.
In the end of the new Seed one will be able to fight a Raid boss called Tauti, hence the name of the new Expansion.

The Executioners Ground will also be rewamped to a level 95 hunting ground

Castles will be reworked

And finally Owning a castle will be reworked to something that is called ‘Light or Darkness’ will be implemented. The key features of the Light and Darkness will be that the owner can set if they want to be a Castle owner of Light or a castle owner of Darkness.
And what you pick will show in the world, for example if you pick to become a Lord of Darkness some of the effects will be that the Taxes increases by 30% and you will see huge financial gain.
And a Castle owner of Light will have the taxes at 0% but will receive great buffs and other beneficial things.

Clan Improvments

There will also be changes to the clan and ally system.

Item Upgrading

With the new bound item systems the items lose values fast and this is being taken care of with a new added system to be able to upgrade your weapons.

Skill Enchantment Changes

There will be changes on Skill enchanting in Lineage 2.

Skill Damage adjustments

Changes to damage with Magic skills and Melee Skills will be adjusted to better match the level and the power of the skill. In other words to try and balance the classes a bit more.

Other small things

One will be able to pick what ever icon for ones macro as one like, changes to things like Fishing and Olympiad rewards will be reworked to better match the current state of the game. More Hairstyles and faces will also be avalible.

Information about this update is very scares ATM and more info will sure be available for the Lineage 2 players in the near future, I try and keep you update when more concrete information will be available

EU launch date revealed

For all of you that are waiting for the launch of the Innova EU servers you don’t have to wait much longer.

The first EU Server will be named Core and will be opened on the 7th of Dec at approximately 3-4 GMT

Not too much waiting before we open up the European Server! On the 7th of December you will see how does it feel..live! And no wipe there

Seems there are a lot of people that are having issues with getting everything up and running to play, Fahrenheit made a great guide how to install everything and how to create a account.

One of the biggest issues is that the installer hangs itself when trying to install MS Visual C++, to solve this problem you have to remove any old versions of MS Visual C++ on your computer, and the 4Game installer fixes the rest.

EU OBT and PTS Starts TODAY!

The beta test has moved to phase 2. This is a great opportunity for everyone to test out there “to be” class right away and check out the skills..

ATTENTION! Now all new characters who enter the game get 85th level + special box with equipment+1’000’000’000 of adena. You can change your profession in towns at NPC Mr. Cat. Enjoy!

We are proud to announce some BIG news:

Today the Open Beta Test (OBT) has started for Lineage 2 The Chaotic Throne 3: Goddess of Destruction. OBT will take place on the Public Test Server (PTS).

The OBT will last for approximately 1 week, after which we will review all the bugs and errors, which will later on be sent to NCSoft. From there it is not too long till the actual release date.

We want to point out that the translation of certain texts and names might differ from the original ones. Do not worry, for those fragments will be renamed after the OBT will has taken place.
Everyone who wants to take part in testing the update will start with a level 1 character to have a look at the way Aden has changed. As a result all items gained during OBT will be wiped, and the character levels will be reduced to zero.
